Gute Geschichten über, von und mit Normalos

Ich habe gera­de kei­ne Lust mehr auf Fan­ta­sy, ich wür­de ger­ne mal wie­der ein gutes Buch lesen, aller­dings mit einem sym­pa­thi­schen, männ­li­chen Prot­ago­nis­ten. Einem, mit dem man empa­thisch sein kann und das Gefühl hat, dass man dabei etwas zurück­be­kommt, näm­lich klu­ge Gedan­ken oder Über­le­gun­gen. Aber wie gesagt, soll­te das ein Durch­schnitts­typ sein. Und natür­lich soll­te es eine gute Geschich­te und gut geschrie­ben sein.

So was wie Sal­ly Roo­ney von einem Mann und über einen Mann.

Die­sen Absatz hier über ihre Geschich­ten fand ich sehr tref­fend:

Her books are opti­mi­stic sto­ries in which love is real, fri­end­ship is las­ting, ide­as mat­ter and sex is a way for peo­p­le to con­nect with each other rather than a set of abs­tract skills to mas­ter. Her books don’t always have a hap­py ending, but they con­tain the pos­si­bi­li­ty of hap­pi­ness.
