Gehört habe ich von Low vor einiger Zeit, auch kurz reingehört, aber nicht mit dem richtigen Ohr.
Vor einer Woche haben sie ihr dreizehntes Album Hey What veröffentlicht.
BJ Burton hat auch das neue Album produziert. Hey What ist für mich es eines der herausragenden Alben der letzten dreißig Jahre. Und das sage ich eine Woche nach der Veröffentlichung.
Musicradar: „Are there exceptions? For instance, bands you’re highly motivated to work with because of their back catalogue?“
BJ Burton: „Have you heard of the band Low? They’ve never written a bad song. They put out an acoustic album and I had this vision of pushing them to make the most beautiful, distorted, post-apocalyptic record – the sort of thing you’d find 2,000 years ago if you dug the earth up. We made that record and it’s one of the favourite albums I’ve ever made.“
